Our home

Here are some pictures of our home. I took them the night before we moved in, so there is no furniture. Taking pictures of rooms are kind of awkward. You can't always get the whole room in the picture, but I gave it my best shot. I will try and get pictures up with the house fully decorated, but we are waiting for our bedroom furniture to come in from Pottery Barn. I can't wait!!

Truely blessed

Dave and I have been very blessed this year. We were able to start building a house in September and we closed on it December 16th!! The house is 4 bedrooms, 1 den, and 3 bathrooms! It is so amazing having our own home. We worked together as a team and we were able to fulfill our dreams. It's the greatest feeling ever knowing we are living in a safe neighborhood. Our previous neighborhood was pretty shady. Recently someone walked up to Dave and asked him to buy his bike from him for drug money. We both said sianara to that place and have never looked back.
Many people have asked if we are going to start a family now that we have our own home...... The answer is NO! We want to be able to travel some more together before the hooligans come along. We are also trying to get me through school. Slowly, but surely I am getting there. I will be over halfway done with my Bachelors by December 2012. We are completely loving the house. We are so excited that we were able to get in before Christmas! I will try and update some pictures a little later!

Bye bye old car. Hello NEW car!

We finally got a new car. My car hadn't died yet, but we didn't want to wait for it to. I have been driving a green Oldsmobile Alero for 4 years. This car kind of has a legacy behind it. We bought it from a friend of my mom's named Katie. My dad was the one who bought it for me. Katie actually passed away a little after my dad. I feel it has a legacy because it was Katie's car, then my dad's and they have both passed. We ended up buying my mom's Honda Accord. We love it!! So nice having a car that will be reliale for many years.

Way behind!

I'm way behind in my blogging world. I don't even know what to blog about because I am so behind so I'm just going to post random pics of our little adventures. One main thing I want to blog about is our dear friend Katie. We celebrated her 22nd birthday on April 18th. A big group of us went to Applebees for it. We went there last year for her birthday so we decided to go there again in memory of her. It was an absolute blast. We all just laughed all night. That's how she would've wanted it.

Adventures!!!

As of 2011 we will be going on many many many adventures with all of our friends. This past week we went on a BIG adventure!! We first started out at Wingnutz. We were all so excited because its a sports bar and the Jazz game was on. The second we walked in the door it all went down hill. We had to wait forever for a table. Once we got seated, our waiter was never seen again. We finally got someones attention and they ordered our food. An hour and a half later and we are still waiting for our food. Brittany and Derick had to leave because they were watching her cousin perform at a night club. Shortly after they left we finally recieved our food. IT SUCKED!! Cold and Soggy!! This was not acceptable so we made a complaint and got our food for free. Since the food sucked we were still hungry so somehow we ventured over to Burger King while we waited for Derick and Brittany to get done with her cousins performance. After Burger King, Dave and Ashley were craving some Farr's Ice Cream. When we got there, the line was our the door! But Dave and Ashley were adamant about their ice cream. Once we got our ice cream we met up with Brittany and Derick at Beto's. After there, we ended up at Tom and Ashley's new home! We played the kinect and it was way fun!! Good times!! (By the way, we have ninja skills).

4 years old!!!

Our cute adorable niece Angel turned 4!! Its crazy how fast they grow! I met her when she was 5 months old. She loves princesses and Tinker Bell, so I made her a Tinker bell cake and got her all sorts of princess dress up. We also got her a princess tiara pinata. Grandma even let her hit it in the house because the weather was crappy. She was sp patient waiting for everyone to show up to her party. Its unbelievable how much that little girl has grown up.

Cooking extravaganza

I'm taking a break from homework for a minute to get caught up on blogging. I was going to post a whole lot sooner, but our internet was down for awhile, but now its up and going again!!
Derick, Brittany, and baby Liam came over a few weeks ago and we decided to make homemade dinner. We chose homemade Mac and Cheese. It was pretty awesome. When I pulled it out of the oven it was so pretty, I didn't want to eat it. A few days earlier I had made potato salad for the first time. It was pretty tasty I have to say so myself. That was our side dish. Later, we made chocolate chip cookies. I never snapped any pictures of those.
