Skunk
I just love skunks!..... Well actually I don't! As I was getting home tonight, I could smell an AWFUL stench!!!! I got out of my car and right off the bat, I knew it was a skunk. Our neighbors warned us when we moved in that we have gotten skunks before in that neighborhood.(We have an open field behind our house. It's technically a retention pond). Well sure enough, there was one hanging out in our backyard! The smell was so strong, I smelt like it just from walking in our backyard. That little bugger better be gone by morning.

The crazy life we live
What a crazy month it has been!! Between school starting and both Dave and I working, time feels like it goes a million miles per second!
This semester I am taking 15 credit hours and working 35 hours a week. I keep asking myself, "Why the heck did you take this many classes?" I have to remind myself I will thank myself later. I'm taking Biomed, Biomed lab, Pharmacology, and College algebra. Can you say overwhelmed?!? So far I have ALMOST made it through a month of school.
Dave on the other hand is working about 19 hour days! Have you ever worked a 19 hour day? I can't say I ever have. The crazy thing is, he LOVES it!! I guess he picked the right profession for himself and scored the perfect job. His career freaks me out, but you can't hold someone back from fulfilling their dreams.
Anyways, I'm just rambling. We've been married a little over a year and a half and are loving every second of it. Our new house is amazing and we have enjoyed the time together decorating how we want it! That reminds me, our furniture from Pottery Barn came in! It is absolutely beautiful!! I want to buy that whole store!

Proud wife
This week has been full of up and down emotions. Everyone has heard of the terrible shooting of police officers in Ogden city, 5 injured and 1 killed. For those of you who don't know, my husband works for Ogden city. When I was informed there had been a shooting, my stomach dropped to my ankles. Luckily, Dave was home with me when it happened. It was the one night he was not working. My heart just breaks for Special Agent Francom's wife and children. This whole week I can hardly look at Dave without getting emotional because I could not see myself living life without him by my side. It's amazing to see the support from the community and how much they have shown how much they appreciate law enforcement officers. Tonight we were at Goodwood Barbecue and the waiter saw Dave's badge and asked where he worked and hurried and put his tray down so he could shake Dave's hand. I was almost in tears when I saw in person how much he was respected by a civilian.
I have been very blessed to have such a hard working husband. He is either working hard at home doing what he needs to do for me. Or he is out serving the community. I'm thankful to have my amazing dad up above watching us. Every time Dave is out late, I ask my dad to keep an eye out for him.
Whether you are religious or not, please keep all officers in your thoughts and prayers, especially the Francom family at this time.

Our home
Here are some pictures of our home. I took them the night before we moved in, so there is no furniture. Taking pictures of rooms are kind of awkward. You can't always get the whole room in the picture, but I gave it my best shot. I will try and get pictures up with the house fully decorated, but we are waiting for our bedroom furniture to come in from Pottery Barn. I can't wait!!

Truely blessed
Dave and I have been very blessed this year. We were able to start building a house in September and we closed on it December 16th!! The house is 4 bedrooms, 1 den, and 3 bathrooms! It is so amazing having our own home. We worked together as a team and we were able to fulfill our dreams. It's the greatest feeling ever knowing we are living in a safe neighborhood. Our previous neighborhood was pretty shady. Recently someone walked up to Dave and asked him to buy his bike from him for drug money. We both said sianara to that place and have never looked back.
Many people have asked if we are going to start a family now that we have our own home...... The answer is NO! We want to be able to travel some more together before the hooligans come along. We are also trying to get me through school. Slowly, but surely I am getting there. I will be over halfway done with my Bachelors by December 2012. We are completely loving the house. We are so excited that we were able to get in before Christmas! I will try and update some pictures a little later!

Bye bye old car. Hello NEW car!
We finally got a new car. My car hadn't died yet, but we didn't want to wait for it to. I have been driving a green Oldsmobile Alero for 4 years. This car kind of has a legacy behind it. We bought it from a friend of my mom's named Katie. My dad was the one who bought it for me. Katie actually passed away a little after my dad. I feel it has a legacy because it was Katie's car, then my dad's and they have both passed. We ended up buying my mom's Honda Accord. We love it!! So nice having a car that will be reliale for many years.

Way behind!
I'm way behind in my blogging world. I don't even know what to blog about because I am so behind so I'm just going to post random pics of our little adventures. One main thing I want to blog about is our dear friend Katie. We celebrated her 22nd birthday on April 18th. A big group of us went to Applebees for it. We went there last year for her birthday so we decided to go there again in memory of her. It was an absolute blast. We all just laughed all night. That's how she would've wanted it.
